Movie Review: Parasite (2019)
Bong Joon-ho's Parasite is a must-see film that won the Oscar for a reason. It’s a perfect mix of dark humor, suspense, and a deep look at class inequality. Here’s why I loved it:
Engaging Story: The way the movie moves from lighthearted moments to intense scenes keeps you on your toes. It never feels predictable, which is super exciting.
Amazing Acting: The cast is incredible. Song Kang-ho and Cho Yeo-jeong, in particular, really bring their characters to life in a way that feels real and relatable.
Stunning Visuals: The cinematography is gorgeous. The way every scene is framed tells you something about the characters and their situations without saying a word.
Social Commentary: Parasite does a brilliant job of showing the gap between the rich and the poor. It’s not just a story—it makes you think about the world we live in.
Unexpected Ending: The final scenes are intense and totally unexpected. It might be shocking for some, but it really ties everything together in the end.
What I didn’t like:
- Some people might find the sudden shifts in tone a bit confusing. At times, it feels like the movie is jumping between genres, which could be off-putting for some.
Rating: 9/10
Recommendation: If you like movies that make you think and keep you entertained at the same time, definitely watch Parasite. It's not just a great film; it's an experience.
